AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

Hey guys! It's been a while since I published my latest blog. I feel the need to publish some reviews about the movie, and if you have not watched it yet and you're the type of person who hates being spoiled about a movie please with all honor, do not read. If you are okay then keep reading.

So first of all, I watched the Avengers movie 6 years ago in 2012, when I was still in the 8th grade of junior high school. Never thought I'd be watching the 2 last sequel of it 6 years later with my college friends.

The story started with Thor's and other Asgardian's ship being attacked by Thanos (see Thor: Raganarok) until it is completely destroyed. Loki was murdered as well, sadly, but with honor by trying to kill Thanos with his blade and of course....useless. I must admit that I could not get my focus off of the movie, I mean like every second of it has precious story that if only you miss one second, you're gonna get confused of what's going on in the next second. I don't  know how they did it, but for a 2 hours and 40 minutes length movie, I did not feel bored at all. It only felt like I was watching a-1-hour movie length.

There are some few cool highlights from the movie: when Doctor Strange met Iron Man to finally faced son of Thanos, when Natasha Romanoff, Captain America saved Scarlett Witch and Vision from the attack ( I mean it was sooo cool people!!), the scene where Avengers are joined by Bucky, General of Wakanda, and King T'Challa to face Thanos massive attack in Wakanda, and when Thor finally came to earth to help the Avengers (with his new AXE!!!). Thor finally becomes a God and the only Avenger able to stab Thanos in the heart, but he was still able to escaped.

If you've been asking, Doctor Strange needed to gave up the Time Stone and saved Tony Stark, so that the whole universe can be saved even though that means he himself must gone after Thanos claimed all the Infinity Stones. "It was the only way" he said to Tony Stark. Before, Strange had some visit into time and saw all the 14.000.605 possibilities of avengers winning or not, and the only chance they have to win is 1 out of 14.000.605 possibilites, which was this way.

The moral of the story is that as always, together we strong, divided we lose. And the other is, Karma never sleeps, even Thanos had to lose Gamora (her beloved daughter) to gain the soul stone; and also, sometimes you have to face what you think is worst, because it is the only best way for you to win.

Hurricane Harvey, Irma and Jose

First of all I would like to say a great sad feelings that have been haunting every time the news about the hurricane popped up. It's such a terrible disaster of the year, even indeed of the decade. I hope everyone is doing well now, getting better, and please stay strong, stay safe and keep on praying and have faith. We are all praying for your safety and praying so that the storm would somehow stops. Amen.

This is however is a very very rare disaster because not just 1, but 3 tremendous storms are on their way hitting America. Some scientists might say that the main cause of this disaster is the weather change, you know, when heat of the summer meat the first autumn breeze which is colder, and that will make the atmosphere, temperature, air density and moisturizer become unstable and causing the storm. Partly that theory is true, but I am here to state another theory.

As we all know, the US have a great feud with North Korea recently and the feud has been heating up ever since January 2017. However, North Korea has accomplished their missile test just now by firing it across Japan which makes US - well, in this case, Donald Trump - lost his mind and patience. We all know that President Trump has tweeted that if North Korea - Kim Jong Un - keeps on doing disrespectful, hatred stuffs that might cause war, the US will do "something terrible that the world has ever seen." 

The tweet however, reflects what is happening today in the US. Well at least, 1/3 of the "something terrible that the world has ever seen". In case you don't know yet, US has been conducting this great and powerful weapon called "HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program)". HAARP, at first, was not used as a weapon, it was more like a tool to help US from food crisis back then when they hit endless dry season. HAARP was meant to either make the rain falls down, or to make a day become a sunny day all along. A good purpose right? But as knowledge and education have become further and more advanced every single year, HAARP is not only for the use that I have mentioned before.

HAARP, can control the weather, climate and sometimes, disaster. How? Well, HAARP has a high frequency "laser" that they "shoot" into the atmosphere. This frequency will make clouds thicker, or ligher. And sometimes, when this frequency hit some atmosphere level, they will be reflected back to the earth still in the form of frequency - which of course can't be heard by human being, because it is included in the Ultra Frequency classification. This frequency can cause a great amount of damage, by causing an earthquake when the frequency hit the ground, which can also cause a tremendous Tsunami and of course damaging the whole city and destroy everything including life. 

Why would they use their own land as a research subject? Have they failed on the experiment? The answer is no they are not failed, in fact they have reach some major improvement through this hurricane. They use their own land as a subject so that people in the world, especially North Korea,  will at least think that US is weakening today. US can't predict nor can it overcome the hurricane. That is what North Korea thinks, while the hurricane comes from the US itself actually. 

If North Korea thinks US is weakening, they would stop testing the missile and preparing for something worse, yes. But, while they are preparing it, Trump will "use" the HAARP to strike them once and for all. Destroying not only Kim, but EVERYONE in North Korea. This is a smooth plan I must say, but they failed a little when some mysterious light appeared in the sky of Mexico right after and during the 8 RS earthquake. Those lights appear to be the frequency but failed to hit the ground and instead made a thick amount of turbulence clouds. 

So I say, if there are those judgy people saying the storm is God being mad and angry to the people of the US for legalling Gay Marriage or voting for Gay mayor, well sorry you might want to take your words back. If God's mad well, maybe you should think and mirroring, and realise that it might also be you. You are one of the cause of God's anger for being so hateful to one another and so judgemental like you have no sins at all. Don't ever bring religion into everything in this world. Religion is a facility only, not the main thing that life has. So as Ellen says, be kind to one another, and treat people the way you want to be treated.

Studio Ghibli

Do you guys know Studio Ghibli? If you don't I'm gonna tell you what it is, and for you who've already known what it is, here is my review about Studio Ghibli.

Studio Ghibli is a famous for its incredibility and various genre of animation, and it is from Japan. I have fallen in love to it ever since 2013 even though I did not realise it back then. The first film I've ever watched was "My Neighbor Tororo" it was in Disney Channel. I fell in love with how the film is able to bring you to the ambient that are being told in the film, and the story line is often unpredictable which makes it even more interesting.

So far, I have watched:

4. The Secret World of Arriety
5. When Marnie was Here
6. Castle in the Sky
7. Only Yesterday
8. Kiki's Delivery Service
9. Princess Monoke

And I recommend all of em! Well, except for "Only Yesterday", it is a great film that describes maturity and how hard it is being a woman and that woman has the power if she knows how to control it well, it might be too hard for children to digest. The specialty of Studio Ghibli is that, it is able to bring the audience into the movie, it knows how to bait the audience's senses whether it is through taste, look, smell, or even emotion. Well, mostly emotions. 

Every single film tells their own story and each of them are amazing, they have lessons, different one each of them and all is about how to make yourself a better person in this cruel world and that no matter how cruel this world is, there is always that one person that's gonna let you believe that kindness still exists. Unlike nowadays' films, always tell either a continuous stories such as: Cars 2, Cars 3, Toy Stories 2, Toy Stories 3, Finding Dory, etc or a retold movies such as Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Spiderman: Homecoming (I mean, how many Spiderman stories are there? Ever since I was born until today, there has been 3 different kind of Spider-Man.). But Studio Ghibli until today, NEVER EVER tells a retold story or a continuous story. They never make "Spirited Away 2", or "Arriety 2", NO. This is why I also love films by Studio Ghibli.

Not only Studio Ghibli serves a creative plots for each films, it also has that one specialty which is the appeal to the audience's emotions. By watching the film, you can feel how it is like living without parents by your side, working while you're on your own, the struggle of living, and how you should always stand for the right thing no matter how many people abandon you because of it. The films also teach me that Japanese people are very discipline and I just love their culture and their lifestyle also. They always eat clean, vegetables, fish, fresh seafoods, sushi, omg I just love how they visualize Japanese custom foods in the films. 

I am by far impress by 3 films out of many that i have watched, those are: Howl's Moving Castle, When Marnie was Here and My Neighbor Totoro. 

In Howl's Moving Castle, I am told that love is the strongest thing in the world after praying, you can conquer anything if you have love inside of you. It's not a conditional love, but an unconditional love and a true love. I always thought that when it comes to "LOVE" you can't change it, because it is one's feeling and only one can destroy it. But this film teaches me that heart can be changed, not only mind. But it needs a great amount of Love, the unconditional one that accept the person you love no matter how they look because you don't judge them by their appearance, but more by their personalities. Well basically when you truly love someone, you will ask yourself: "Why in heaven do I love that person?" and even yourself cannot answer it. That is a true love :)

When Marnie was Here, tells a very rare kind of animation story line. I love it. It tells about a person, called Marnie, who I thought was a ghost at first, and turns out Marnie is a memory. There is this child called Anna, a young girl who suffer from asthma and has an introvert personality. She has to be moved temporarily to a countryside to begin her healing process. In that place she has a "friend" which is Marnie. They becomes best friend, but during their friendship, a short friendship, unexpected things happen which is kinda confusing for children to digest. Sometimes it brings you to the present, but at the other moment it was actually the past. Well, Marnie is actually the grand mother of Anna, who has died years ago. After knowing this I cried so hard, I was sobbing. Marnie tells Anna that she has a tough life, having no friend yet living poverty in her family richness. She has got no one to tell her story to, because her husband died, and her daughter, which is Anna's mother, abandoned Marnie. Anna's mother, however was not raised by Marnie, because Marnie was very busy as she was a single mom and had to make a living for her daughter. That's why she sent Anna's mother to be raised in the dormitory. Anna's mother could not accept this until she becomes adult, and finally abandoned Marnie. Later on, Anna's mom died in car accident and so did Anna's father. It was really sad, that Marnie had to raise Anna alone as she grows older and older. Marnie promised herself that she would raise Anna on her own until she dies as the exchange for not being able to raise her own daughter. Omg YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS FILM! In the end, the film wants to tell you that every person has their own story, a happy one and a sad one, and their story makes them who they are today. So, do not judge them for who they are because you never really understand their whole story, you are not them. And sometimes stories can't be told by words, you have to experience it yourself.

My Neighbor Totoro, told a fun story. The film tells you how to believe that there are magical things in the world as long as you believe it. I can't tell the whole story here, I want you to watch it on your own because My Neighbor Totoro, was rated 93% rating by Roten Tomatoes and becomes internationally known. All in all, the film tells you that when you are kind, generous, and live a good life, then nature, and God, would not abandon you in your hard situation. Life may give you tons of sadness, but you have infinity reasons to make lemonade out of lemons that life gives you.

And the picture above shows every main character and the mascot of each of Studio Ghibli's masterpieces. Marnie is the girl on the below right corner, using a white dress with blonde hair. And then the black ghost with white mask is the mascot from Spirited Away, and then there is Haku and Chihiro below the gost, next to Marnie. Totoro, obviously is the hamster-like mascot holding the oak seed, on top of the wolf from Princess Monoke. Here is another clearer picture:

Well I do not see Arriety tho in any of those picture above, perhaps she's too tiny to be included. In case you don't know, Arriety is a young girl, a tiny tiny young girl, half a size of 250 mL Ultra Milk if your want to know. No wonder she's not included tho LoL.

How Precious Time Is

You know every good bye always forms a new scar and a new memories, and it is also the marking of a new beginning which will lead to another good bye.

I just want to share a little of my story here. You know how hard it is for someone who just get out of their comfort zone and try new things. Not everyone can adapt to new environment and friends quickly, you can say that I am one of those people who find it difficult to interact with new environment. But, for the first time, I feel so confident of introducing myself to the new environment.

So I have this business class in my university, and it is simply the best class I have ever had in my life so far. I used to feel homesick, I always need to go back home at least once in 2 weeks last year. But things really changed as soon as I am in the Business 2E. They are my only reason to stay out of my home for more than a month. They are my greatest escape when life gets sour, they teach me how to make lemonade out of it.

When I first came here, many people said that Jakarta is such a wild place, a rude place full of rude and individualistic people. It turns out to be the opposite, and I truly find who myself truly are here. My classmates, who I always meet every single day for 9 months approximately, have always known how to support each other. They always there when I need them and so does the opposite. I feel something different in B2E. Many other classes are fighting against each other, compete their own classmates to win. But us? we help each other in order to win.

We stay solid while other class are making gap between each other to make themselves comfortable. The point is, B2E does have gaps but we're still able to blend when it comes to final projects, final exams. We always there to support each other because we feel like we're in this together. I'm not saying that other classes are bad or worse, I mean we all have a bad sides, and we just know how to overcome it, to maintain that bad things so it doesn't get bigger and reach the surface.

All I wish right now is that time could stop ticking for a while and let me enjoy being in this class a little longer. But I know that would be unfair for those who wish time to go faster. So For you, who always try to make time goes faster by wasting it for nothing useful, change! Time is a very important thing in life as it never comes back. We could never regain that last 1 second, it's just gone you know.

So, I just want to say, enjoy being with your friends, you best friends, or whoever you love while they are still around you, while you can still feel their presence. Because we do not know when will time say: "Okay, time's up, time to go to the next chapter and you gotta leave it all behind.".

For my friends, all of you in B2E, I could never thank enough for everything you have given to me through out this one unforgettable year. You all are part of my life and part of the best memories I have. After this, we are going to be separated in different classes, and I do hope we all get new great classmates. Literally, thanks! I could never ask for a better class, I mean it.

LESSON: Do not ever trust what people say unless you already face it with your very own body. You feel it, you learn it, you experience it, you judge it. Don't ever let yourself live in other people's opinion, for you have your own.

TAYLOR SWIFT IS BACK ON SPOTIFY!!!

And I am freaking out!!!! This is so exciting! After three long years of waiting for her to return to Spotify, she finally did it! I know she did this on purpose, is that to celebrate of 1989 selling over 10 million albums worldwide and the RIAA's 100 million song certification announcement. 

I know that Spotify has changed their rules and regulations regarding both the artist's payment and the streaming service for platinum members. This is the true reason why Taylor is willing to re-release all her songs and albums on Spotify. This is such a wise decision by Spotify, I mean, if we want to enjoy something, an art or other things that are a result of someone else's hard works, we should be proud if we enjoy the original ones. In return, the artists themselves should be paid because of their hard works.

For you who always see the bad side of Taylor, just....you are so pathetic and sad. There are a lot of good things in this world and you always try to see the bad ones? Wow, just wow, well enjoy your life right there.

And for you who thinks this is only Taylor's trick to lower Katy Perry's new album, you are very wrong. Taylor would never want to do any cheap tricks like that, she's a smart and talented person. Well I just wanna thank you guys for hating Taylor, literally you are a fan of her as well, you are always there when Taylor does something. Thanks for making her more famous, Swifties love you all. Oh...and thank you for commenting bad things on Taylor's posts because you have literally dedicated your time for Taylor by visiting her instagram and commenting on her posts. Such a true fans you all are.

A Letter for Ahok

I know you that you have been sentenced to be imprisoned for 2 years. You know what Pak Ahok? I have never been so in touched with news unless it is so loud that it could reach my very own ears. I never wanted to hear or see or know about how you were judged since it would only bring me a lot of frustrations and unnecessary anger. But, yesterday a lot of international news which I usually read, such as CNN, BBC News, Jakarta Post, Reuters, even Amnesty International had their headlines filled with your name, I saw your name everywhere. And then I realize that I am not alone, we are not alone Pak Ahok, the world knows you and what you have been facing through out the rough 9 months. Once again, I say, we are not alone, the world is so big and consists of many important news every hour, and you, are one of that most important person in this world until they allow you to become their headlines. Few months ago, I heard that London (or is it New York?) wanted you to become their governor. I am so impressed and proud to hear that, I mean, finally they see someone from Indonesia as a "clean" and honest person until they trust them to hold one of the most important position in their city. The world sees you as a hero, an honest individual, as the positive change barer, and as one of the most trustworthy person with a high quality of intelligence. Many people hate you because of that, but you have to know, they hate you not because of your negativity. They dislike you because you are a right person, you dare to bring change to Indonesia, especially Jakarta, while others prefer to close their eyes tightly and pretend like those problems you have been facing do not exist. They hate you, because they know they do not match with you, because you are so amazing and the praised by the world. They hate you because of that. 

You should be proud of yourself, because you have a good will and you are honest, that is the most important thing. You never lie to your own people, instead you push all your efforts to get rid of those "liars" around you to make your own people's life better. But it seems your haters dislike that, and they do not have anything else to blame you. I mean it, seriously, what is there to blame? You made Jakarta cleaner, better, more discipline, cheaper and more lovable. You did all of that without corrupting money from your people. So what will they use to blame you? How to bring you down? Yup, religion and race would do. You are the very first indeed, a Christian governor who lead Jakarta, so once you said something sensitive, they will blame you and call you as someone who is "heathen". 

I do not understand how those haters think, I mean in America, their religion are protected even though there were ban, but still 50% of Americans go down the street to state how they were really against the ban. They respect every religion, every single of them, as Michelle Obama said "We are all here to worship freely". Those Americans, who they call "heathens" actually protect them so that they can all receive equality in worshiping what they believe. Because as we all know, there are no perfect religion, everything is simply imperfect. And those imperfections create a perfection if only we could work together in diversity, if we can unite as one. Isn't this an ironic? How they call you "heathens" while you are on your ground to always protect and support them. 

I know that the world knows this, the United Nations knows this and I am pretty sure they are really against injustice. Do not fear Pak Ahok for you have done nothing wrong, and I believe you know that. We all are here to support, to pray for you, and of course to continue your legacies. Always remember this:

Congratulations to SMA Santo Aloysius Bandung

I am a proud alumni of St. Aloysius Bandung, even prouder today after one of the local news media of West Java, Indonesia, declared the National Exam results. Based on what I just said you can already predict where this is going. YES! St. Aloysius peaked at the 3 BIGGEST of many schools in Bandung!! This has been going for many years consecutively, why am I proud then? Because I know how hard it is to stay on that position for years without falling out of 10 Biggest Rank. I know the struggle, the efforts I must give in order to make that position mine. 

I want to congratulate all the teachers involved in patiently teaching, conducting and sacrificing lots of their time and energies to make this happen. No achievements can be achieved instantly, and in order to achieve such achievement you're gonna need more than a person to help you, a person that always there behind your back to support you whether mentally or physically and those people are the teachers who had always been available for their students. There are two biggest things to be sacrificed, and those are yourself and time. Because both are limited and you can't have any exact same repetition for both either. And these teachers have willingly sacrificed their time for the students.

And not only the teachers, but also the students who have fought for this at their best. I've been where those students have been, endless assignments, practices, and extra time learning a.k.a. course, especially for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I know that feeling of tired and sick of seeing Physics equation, but believe me, it really is worth all the efforts. I'm glad that y'all finally made it this far, and even able to CLAIM both #1 AND #3 this year! How awesome is that? You really are competent successor. Once again, congratulations! I wish I had the chance to say this in person.

And of course, the one and only who always there for us all, who helped us no matter what we've done, who always push us out of our comfort zone, God Himself. Without His blessings, none of these would happen. Therefore be thankful to Him because these all happened because of His permission.
